Last week, i posted a post on our so-called 'word-class field'. It seemed that some thought i was a pessimistic and that i was focusing too much on the negative side. Instead, in this post, I'd be talking on what chung ling has done recently to alleviate its status to that of a world-class school.
First up, the toilets. What has Chung Ling done to our dear god-knows-how-old toilets? Why...instead of spending a few hundreds of thousands to renovate the current toilets (god-knows-again-how-many), the school has decided to build a toilet of a world-class status, one which can only be used exclusively by our VIPs. It is in fact located strategically beside our hall, whereby every single visitor would be marvelled by its beauty and the VIPs soaked in its luxury. Of course, they did not notice that it is located exactly beside the staircase leading up to the staff room, making the trip up and down the staircase in the future perhaps a most unpleasant one, coupled with the background music of the constant flushing and openings of taps and filled with the wondrous smells of mother nature. Alas, one must remember again that it is in fact a VIP exclusive toilet -- meaning us poor students won't be able to use it. So much for that....meaning that it's place beside the staircase could count less as it will be in fact rarely be used. I mean, how many times to VIPs visit our schools? How many events one can hold which includes VIPs? 10? 20? So, in the end, what use is the toilet built for? For VIPs...how many times must i remind myself. And one must also notice that if it was left to the hands of us Chung Ling boys, what was used to be a very clean would be dirtied in only one period of recess. Logical....logical...i get it...

and even our dear RM400K!!! toilets....it is not surprising to find out that our dear toilet is just lacking...Sadly, some of own old boys did not know that some of their money donated had gone to waste. Why? Wasted building a roof for our basketball cum volleyball court. Why? God knows. And it actually started off with the promise of an indoor court which then turned into something like a roofed court. And my-oh-my did it even get worse. What was once a basketball cum volleyball court has now turned into a piece of cement court. What!? What happened to our basketball nets and volleyball posts? Gone! My goodness.
ps. For last weeks post on our world class field, please visit here.

world class toilets are still excusable, but the "multipurpose" is damn ugly and serves no purpose at all...
no comment bout ur sch's -err- world class toilets..but the bar 89 ones are nice ;p
lol...yeah...they are nice...i wonder how much our school's toilets cost....hmmmm...
Hmm world class toilets? My gawd...Is it made of gold?Try and find out how much did it actually cost
Now,we pay RM12 per year for the "developments".
We have around 3000 students in the school
and 3000XRM12 = RM36000 per year
and in 5 years time
We have RM180,000
Instead of using the money in a more "beneficial" way,we are investing it on TOILETS?!
Good use of resources,that
and the roofed court....Surely...Its not a sight to behold! Its an eyesore
Is this part of the kiasu attitude the school is adapting?World class standard!(sarcastically)
Ooh,did I ever forget to mention the expensive fees that we are forced to pay for IT?Please, the computers doesn't work!
Good blogs! I love the way you discuss about the really stupid things they have done for us in the school. The toilets near the hall is also building a toilet in the centre of education. Why they still do it?
VIPs can enjoy luxurious bathrooms and they don't need to run around shouting "I NEED A TOILET!"
CLHS management is going down the drain...
HM did it most probably to only impress them.
How many old boys came back to teach and are problem teachers?
I dare not say.
the multi-purpose ROOFED area suck, the roof too high and still sunlight can get in and also the rain, shit man! turn it into some indoor basketball court or a futsal is better! train a cl futsal team xD. my dad is one of the old cl student atyear 79/82, made donation. he never see that thing b4, but when last year 79/82 old cl student anniversary, many of them complain it suck. says " build lai for what, rain still can get in also).
TOILET! we have fan in our toilet, but it's dirty. graffiti on walls, and also, lost-door toilet. LOL! if the toilet all ppl use d, then you wan to pang sai, i suggest you bring a umbrella. WORLD-CLASS CL rox! and also the "BEST" toilet awards goes to the toilet near the school muzium building there ^^
i suggest that they should bomb all the houses behind CL then then make indoor stadium there. SHIOK!
proud CL student.
hey..... dont always criticise CLHS. It was my school and it will be the only school i am proud of after so many years. It is really unfair to comment CLHS like that.
Sure there are its ups and downs, but u will realise that why ppl are so proud to claim they are exCLHS after you graduate.
Love CLHS!
yeah...i know...don't worry...after i finish my world class school series...i'll be writing on ways to improve our school...then you'd know that all my critisicm are not blank shots but constructive ones...you mush know that i still love my school and that i would not trade it for any other schools....it's because i care so much of the school that i feel it's my duty to point out some of the more not so outstanding features of the school...
Well...
Didn't all of us realise?
It's Visit Malaysia Year 2007!
And since the government had launched the lavish toilet series, i guess our school just follow suit.
Typical Malaysian style!
Good at building, but poor at maintaining!
Oh! And Happy Visit Chung Ling Year 2007!
The alumni would be coming back in droves...that's why the school has to spend some $$$$ i suppose.
what the stupid thing they have done! how come they can waste our alumni money like this.I don't mean to band the school managemen, but I feel sad that the school didn't really improve the school environment for the student.
it is indeed a sad sign of mismanagement...well...at least better the money go to some improvements than none...
i suppose it has always been like this. for every school. the money is always invested in the most ridiculous ways ever. Malaysian lifestyle? It'd better not be.
LOL
true perhaps
but at least it's going somewhere
even if it's a waste
better than to somebody's pocket eh?
yeah, but they should put more student involvement before they make awkward choices like that.
